PERBANDINGAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI PESERTA DIDIK MENGGUNAKAN METODE NOTE TAKING PAIRS DENGAN GUIDED NOTE TAKING

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode Note Taking Pairs (NTP) dengan metode Guided Note Taking (GNT) pada pokok bahasan sistem ekskresi kelas XI IPA SMAN 16 Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) menggunakan desain pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design. Jumlah sampel terpilih secara simple random sampling sebanyak masing-masing 36 peserta didik pada kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 diajar menggunakan metode Note Taking Pairs dan pada kelas XI IPA 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 yang diajar menggunakan metode Guided Note Taking. Tes hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t test dan menunjukkan nilai sig.(2-tailed) 0,011 < α 0,05. Ini berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode Note Taking Pairs (NTP) dengan metode Guided Note Taking (GNT) pada pokok bahasan sistem ekskresi kelas XI IPA SMAN 16 Makassar. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan metode Note Taking Pairs (sebesar 77,78) lebih efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar dibandingkan metode Guided Note Taking (sebesar 73,61). Hasil penelitian mengimplikasikan kepada para pendidik untuk menggunakan pembelajaran dengan metode bervariasi. Salah satu metode yang direkomendasikan adalah metode Note Taking Pairs (NTP) This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes by using the Note Taking Pairs (NTP) method compared with the Guided Note Taking (GNT) method on the subject of the excretion system for class XI IPA at SMAN 16 Makassar. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The number of samples selected randomly for each experiment class was 36 students. Class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class 1 was taught by the Note-Taking Pairs method and class XI IPA 6 as the experimental class 2 was taught by the Guided Note Taking method. The learning outcome test was analyzed with the independent sample t-test and showed a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.011 <α 0.05. It means that there are differences in student learning outcomes taught using the Note Taking Pairs (NTP) method with the Guided Note Taking (GNT) method on the subject of the excretion system for class XI IPA at SMAN 16 Makassar. The results showed that the Note Taking Pairs method (amounted to 77.78) was more effective in improving learning outcomes than the Guided Note Taking method (amounted to 73.61). There might be needed for educators to use various methods of learning. One of the recommended methods is the Note Taking Pairs (NTP) method.
