This paper will esamin the linguistic experience of Jhumpa Lahiri, english writer from Bengala, who won in 2000 Pulitzer. She represents a real peculiar experience between a long history of Italian literature wrote by foreign writers. In fact, Lahiri comes to Italian language after a long and solid road, which took her to become a great writer in USA. She doesn’t fell, in opposition to all the first generation of foreign auctors, the necessity to use Italian language to tell about racism, bad experience of migrants. She meets our language by a rapid falling in love, based on beauty (after a travel in Florence). Lahiri fells the necessity to tell this love history using Italian language in a novel, sort of autobiographic linguistic novel, in 2015: In altre parole. Italian language, in this way, becomes the way and the object at the same time, which is used to write Stories. It I a particular language, unic in Italian Literature wrote by foreign people.
