Editor review of this special issue of Nordicum-Mediterraneum, which contains articles based on five lectures that were delivered at a conference held on the occasion of Mr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson being awarded an honorary doctorate in the field of social sciences by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Akureyri on September 30, 2022.
