The authors have studied the clinical course of bronchial asthma associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease. They defined the effectiveness of antisecretory therapy in comprehensive treatment of patients with combined pathology. It is found that inclusion of rabeprazole, proton pump inhibitor, in treatment regimen significantly improves indices of external respiration and quality of life of patients suffering from bronchial asthma.
