Language and discourse play an important role in Science Studies and in the Research in Science Education. In this article, we seek to contribute to this research trend by discussing Bakhtin's Theory of Concrete Utterance. We discuss how Bakhtin's world view opposes Kantian metaphysics and rests on a phenomenological philosophy, influenced by Modern Physics, Marxism and Leibiniz’s monadology. Under the light of this philosophical discussion, we present his Theory of Concrete Utterance and we translate his worldview into possible methodological reflections for Science Studies and for the Research in Science Education. From this perspective, we make a proposal of "analytical trajectory", which serves as a suggestion of a possible organization of Bakhtin's Metalinguistic Interpretation. Finally, we exemplify the use of such analytical trajectory.
