Philosophy and science: source and generation of method and true knowledge

Abstract

With the present article on philosophy and science as a source and generation of the method and true knowledge, a reflexive approach is made to authors and their arguments regarding the role of the philosophy of science as a source and generation of knowledge. In this section a new conceptualization of science is generated and the problems that arise from the relationship between science and philosophy are evident. Likewise, a reflexive exercise is made on the importance that falls on the scientific method and the new philosophy of science in the search for truth. Finally, the concepts of science and philosophy are revived as generators of knowledge, with Mario Bunge’s approach as the main reference.
