Evolution of a cognitive architecture on the basis of a functional core

Abstract

Article highlights An approach to the creation of cognitive architectures based on the evolution of the 0-architecture is proposed A cognitive architecture is proposed which is able to solve Symbol Grounding Problem in modeling mental development The problem of creating a functional core and its operation at the sensorimotor stage of the agent's development was investigated A numerical method is proposed that may be used for the simulation of cognitive activities at the sensorimotor stage of postnatal ontogenesis
