This study attempts to synthesize, integrate and discuss the main research found regarding personal variables involved in learning: motivation and emotion, and how the different components connect each other. This has been done through a systematic review of national databases (ISOC) and international (EBSCOHOST) of studies on the relation that the personal motivation and emotion variables in the study of learning and the implications maintained researches involving both together. This concludes that personal variables as motivation and emotion, are necessary for studying the learning. Future joint researches will improve the knowledge about the students’ educational progress. On the other hand, many researches analyse these variables one by one, instead of doing it together. It can be due to the hard analysis.
