Conservation Agriculture is an agroecological system based on no-till, permanent cover crop or mulching and long and diversified rotations. The system aims to improve productivity in the long term by respecting the ecosystems services generated by the biological soil activity and the organic matter. No-till first spread in the Americas and Australia. It’s currently developing in Europe. The analysis of the spatial variability of cover crops, surface residue, no-till and diversified rotation in France shows that they are performed independently, with diverging spatial logics. However, the Conservation Agriculture system still represents a minority share.
