The effectiveness of a novel device, the MGrX (OcuSci), in treating meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), is reviewed in this case series. The case series follows the ocular surface evaluation of 12 patients; all evaluated using the ocular surface disease index and infrared meibography with the Me-Check meibography device (Espansione, Italy). Evaluations were performed before and 4–6 weeks after therapy. The mean pretreatment OSDI score was 26.89 (±9.14). The mean posttreatment OSDI score was 13.29 (±14.04). The MGrX device appears to be a safe, effective, and quick way of treating MGD in patients of a wide range of ages and with different dry eye disease severity.
