This research aimed to investigate the role of cognitive processes and type 2 diabetic women's blood sugar index in the effectiveness of the education of secularism harms based on the teachings of Nahj al-Balagha. This quasi-experimental research was conducted in the city of Bardaskan in 2017. The population included type 2 diabetic patients referring to both Diabetes Clinic and the Center for Complete Services of Rural Health in Zaherabad. 30 patients were selected by the convenience sampling and were randomly placed in two test and control groups. The data were gathered by the questionnaires of anxiety and the intolerance of uncertainty, and the tests of HbA1C and FBS. The multivariate analysis of covariance demonstrated that anxiety, the intolerance of uncertainty, and blood sugar significantly decreased in the test group that it indicated the effectiveness of the education of secularism harms based on the teachings of Nahj al-Balagha on the diabetic patients. According to the results, this education along with pharmacotherapy can control the blood sugar.
