Monieziosis is widely distributed between agricultural ruminant animals in Azerbaijan: in sheep-57,4%, in goats-25, 4%, in cattle-38, 0% and in buffalos-21, 6%. In summer and winter pastures of the republic there were registered 54 species of the oribatid mites, from them 27 species are intermediate hosts of moniezia. The following species play a great role in keeping of monieziosis invasion in nature: Sch. latipes, Sch. laevigatus, Sch. longiporosus, Zyg. tericola, Zyg. frisiae, Zyg. cognata, Zyg. skryabini, Gal. obvia, Cer. cisalpinus, Op. expansa, O. minus etc. These species are widely distributed in all pastures of the republic, have a big density and are most susceptible to infected eggs of moniezia.
