Filosofías liminares y género: cuerpo discursivo y discurso corporal / Liminal Philosophies and Gender: Discursive Body and Corporal Discourse
Abstract
Resumen De manera tradicional, la filosofía ha hecho del cuerpo una noción casi marginal: como apéndice y como sombra de la actividad intelectual considerada como reino humano por excelencia, abstracto y universal. Más allá de esta concepción, así como de su reproducción constructivista, Judith Butler plantea una cuestión harto singular: cómo entender el cuerpo reconociendo, a un mismo tiempo, su materialidad y su discursividad o, en otras palabras, cómo combinar el hecho de que el cuerpo nace y muere de manera irremisible con la imposibilidad de su aprehensión fuera de algún tipo de narrativa. La solución que queda propuesta, siempre de forma provisoria, es que el discurso tiene un perfil corporal mientras el cuerpo nada es sin la forma, e incluso el espesor, que le provee el discurso. Se trata, a fin de cuentas, de analizar la materialidad y el lenguaje como nociones interdependientes. Abstract In a traditional way, the philosophy has considered the body an almost marginal notion: as an appendix and as a shade of the intellectual activity considered as the human kingdom, both abstract and universal. Beyond this conception, as well as of its constructivist reproduction, Judith Butler raises a particular question: how to understand the body recognizing, at the same time, its materiality and its discursivity or, in other words, how to combine the fact that the body is born and dies in an unpardonable way with the impossibility of its apprehension out of some type of narrative. The proposed solution, always in a provisional form, is that the discourse has a corporal profile while the body is nothing without the shape, and even the thickness, provided by the speech. It is a question of analyzing, ultimately, the materiality and the language as interdependent notions.
