Abstract

This review highlights the main arguments from the articles present in Mikhail Bakhtin: linguagem, cultura e mdia (Translated to English the title means: Mikhail Bakhtin: language, culture and media). It primarily focuses on the expansion possibilities of his theory to unpredicted fields, such as media studies, which benefits from its ambitious philosophical approach. It is noticeable a great number of comments regarding Bakhtins contributions to the enrichment and modernization of the Communication Theory, demonstrating the deep contemporaneity of his concepts.Esta resenha destaca os principais pontos dos artigos que compem o livro Mikhail Bakhtin: linguagem, cultura e mdia. Atenta especialmente para as possibilidades de expanso da teoria bakhtiniana, beneficiada justamente por sua abordagem filosfica ambiciosa, at campos no previstos, como a mdia. Notam-se tambm muitos comentrios acerca das contribuies de Bakhtin ao enriquecimento e atualizao da Teoria da Comunicao, que demonstram a profunda contemporaneidade de seus conceitos.
