SHORT FICTION BY LUIS SEPULVEDA: NEO-BAROQUE TENDENCIES

Abstract

Purpose. The work deals with short prose by Luis Sepulveda as an example of neo-baroque literature. The main purpose of the work is topic establishment of neo-baroque strategies in the short stories by L. Sepulveda. The main research method is the comparative one. The analysis of the short stories by L. Sepulveda is dedicated to showing up of neo-baroque strategies. Results. The main strategies of neo-baroque literature were found, such as rhythmic repetition and reduplication that lead to forming new implications, focus on a peculiarities, cult of chaos and disorder, dialogical structure. Scope of application of the results. The results of the study can be used to research of Latin American mindsets in the literature.
