Yellow House Project: an experience of inclusive education and social work

This paper reports an experience of inclusive education and social work, called Yellow House Project developed by a multidisciplinary team of teachers, psychologist, students and trainees of Center for Psychosocial Care, and the Campus Natal - Cidade Alta, of the Institute Federal Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, Brazil. Metaphor of Van Gogh dream, to build a community of artists, the project offers courses in the art of painting, design, dance and production of handmade paper for inclusion of people with mental illness and addiction. The article is divided into introduction, development and final considerations. Methodology uses the DBAE, the portfolio and volunteering. The project establishes a therapeutic process, education, social reintegration and access to the art market, giving new meaning to historical stigmas and easing emotional suffering for enjoyment of social and cultural right to full citizenship.
