A História Secreta de Procópio de Cesareia: O debate e a renovação historiográfico

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the debate and the historiographical renewal on the Secret History of Procópio de Caesarea, in order to understand the research advances and the new perspectives about this work. Moreover, it seeks to make an approach to the path of Procópio de Caesareia that decided to write a work in contradiction with his own previous writings, which could be explained by his own past as well as with contemporary context.
