Abstract

In civil proceedings, contract non-performance is a substantive defense means available to aparty that, by its mere invocation, can block the claim brought by the other party (which has notfulfilled its own obligation) that, in its turn, aims at obliging the party that invokes the exception toperform its own obligation.
