Вody schemata in snakes Lampropeltis triangulum campbelli
Abstract
Вody schemata in snakes Lampropeltis triangulum campbelli were studied using the technique of finding the way through the holes of different diameters when the animals had to take into account the enlarged limits of their bodies. The diameters of the snakes’ bodies were increased by feeding them on mice thus producing a bulkу thickening. As the body diameter increased so that it prevented the snakes from moving through the holes in a previously learned way, the animals were able to learn anew quite adequately to the situation change. However, when the location of the holes was changed, the snakes were unable to transfer this experience into a new situation.
