Undergraduate students often have difficulty keeping track of all the pieces of the immune response and how they relate to each other. To help students synthesize the information in an upper-level, undergraduate immunology course, the students in my course investigate the immune response to pathogen of their choosing and then use that information to design a vaccine to that pathogen.
