This Article outlines the efforts of different religious schools of thoughts which were very actively involved for Islamic Legislation in Pakistan from emergence of Pakistan to till now. A critical review was undertaken to logically document the available secondary level information on the topic which are given below: • Approval of the Objectives Resolution in 1949; • 22 guidelines for an Islamic state presented by 31 religious scholars in 1951; • Amendments recommended by the same scholars in the constitution committee in 1953; • 22 economic reforms presented by 118 religious scholars in 1970; • Overview of efforts by various schools of thought for the refutation (Takfeer) of Qadiani group. • 19 guidelines for legislation in an Islamic state presented in 1983 by religious scholars of various schools of thought at the forum of the Islamic Ideology Council; • 17 points presented in 1995 by Milli Yakjehti Council; • Endorsement of the 22 points presented in 1951 and the 15 points containing the interpretation of the former forwarded by scholars of various schools of Fiqh in 2011; • 18 points presented by 23 scholars and agreed to by Milli Majlis Sharee in 2013 for promoting coordination and tolerance between all the Islamic schools of Fiqh. It shows that the differences between these schools of Fiqh existing in Pakistan have never been a hindrance to the Islamization of the constitution and the laws. These efforts prove that almost all schools of thoughts are agreed for Islamic Legislation unanimously.
