This essay is dedicated to analyse the educational policies research field. Taking the relationship between social demand for education and the government (non) action, the paper discusses how educational policy is expressed in the form of access, administration and quality. After, the work discusses the educational policy objects of study, leading to the conclusion that the this research field deals with the relationship between social demand for education and the state's position face this demand with all the outcomes of this movement, especially that relating to competition for power and its relationship with education universe.
