Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explain how a corpus of movies can be exploited within the paradigm of Information and Communication Sciences, and be enriched with other approaches in film studies.On one hand, it enlightens the evolution of the research in contemporary Mexican cinema. On the other hand, it compares to other approaches and brings out its specificities.The point of this article is to show how a corpus of movies can be exploited within the paradigm of Information and Communication Sciences, and be enriched with other approaches of film studies. On one hand, it explains how this research upon contemporary Mexican cinema evolved. On the other hand, this specific approach is compared with other studies of cinema and picture, in order to bring out its peculiarities.
