Iron(III) phosphate catalyzed synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridines

Abstract

Novel 1,4-dihydropyridines (1,4-DHPs) are prepared efficiently via Hantzsch reaction using aldehydes, benzylacetoacetate and catalytic amount of iron(III) phosphate under solvent-free conditions in good yields. Keywords: 1,4-Dihydropyridines, Iron(III) phosphate, Synthesis, Catalyzed
