The article addressed an essential theme in Cuban education: the overcoming of tutor’s teachers who work with students of pedagogical training in work practices. The objective proposed in the work was directed to the elaboration of a pedagogical strategy that would allow preparing to the tutors professors for their performance during the fulfillment of the function of tutoring, in the preuniversity Institute of Exact Sciences Federico Engels of Pinar del Río. Theoretical and empirical methods were employed following a mixed approach; the investigation was explanatory. As a result, the elaborated proposal, based on the sciences related to pedagogy and integrated by 19 strategic actions conceived in the short, medium and long term, made it possible to organize in a coherent way this type of improvement and contributed elements of knowledge that increased the preparation of the teacher tutors and improve their performance in the tutorial work with the students of pedagogical training.
