In this article presents the results of the analysis of a scientific monograph from the point of view of the specificity of objectification of the category of agreement/disagreement in it. Particular attention is paid to the analysis neither standard means of representing this category, but to the methods and means that are relevant and specific to a scientific monograph, which, as representatives of the functional-semantic field of agreement/disagreement, are identified on the basis of a holistic structural and semantic analysis of the text. The novelty of the study is substantiated, which consists in identifying and describing the methods of indirect expression of the agreement/disagreement category presented in the scientific monograph genre, which include both individual lexical and textual units with various types of implicit meanings, directly or indirectly associated with an invariant of this category and differently distributed in the space of discourse. It has been established that the objectification of agreement/disagreement in the discourse of a scientific monograph is characterized by asymmetric dualism, since the content of this category does not always receive an unambiguous expression in the surface structure of the utterance. It is revealed that the functional-semantic field of agreement/disagreement in the discourse of a scientific monograph is dominantly implemented by language units with an estimated value, in which the estimated semantics intersect with different types of modal values. It is determined that the variability and versatility of the manifestation of this category in the discourse of a scientific monograph is due to the substantial and formal features of the scientific knowledge presented in it, its novelty, polemic, the nature of the objectification of the material. It has been established that the various compositional parts of a scientific monograph differ in various explication possibilities of this category. It was revealed that the introduction of a monograph differs in a high degree of saturation with implicit markers of the agreement/ disagreement category, which is due to the presence of characteristic signs of polemic discourse in it.
