Experimental investigations on the thermal performance of a domestic condensing heat recovery air-conditioner
Abstract
An experiment was carried out on a domestic condensing heat recovery air-conditioner. The working principle was introduced in this article. And thermal performance and theoretical analysis of the dynamic behavior of the system were conducted followed by experimental investigation. The results illustrated that the operating parameters of various modes were satisfactory. In the summer and winter seasons, the space cooling performance ( COP sc ) and space heating performance ( COP sh ) values were 2.85 and 3.37, respectively. In the condensing heat recovery for water heating mode, the average COP wh was found to be 2.58, and the COP sc was observed to be 2.84 with an overall coefficient of performance ( COP cw ) of up to 5.42; the mean heat recovery rate was about 95%. In water heating only mode, the heat capacity was declining with an average COP wh value of 3.94.
