Manual thrombus aspiration during percutaneous coronary intervention: Cherish as “Blessing of Thanksgiving” in a case of spontaneous coronary artery dissection presenting with large intracoronary thrombus burden
Abstract
Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) presenting with a large intracoronary thrombus burden is an exceedingly rare scenario. We report a 27-year-old male who presented with SCAD and subsequently was found to have a large intracoronary thrombus burden in the left anterior descending artery. Our tailored approach for the removal of thrombus by thrombus aspiration before stent deployment has been proved to be fruitful.
