Babcock University Medical Journal’s new Editor-in-Chief (Olumide Abiodun) and the responsibilities of the role

An editor-in-chief is the highest-ranking editorial leader overseeing all aspects of the publication's operations, content, and editorial policies. Babcock University Medical Journal, founded in 2017, is a multidisciplinary journal published by the Babcock Medical Society that provides rapid publication of peer-reviewed new human research findings in all the specialities of basic health sciences, basic clinical sciences, and clinical sciences with a strong emphasis on community health. On the 1st of May 2024, Professor Olumide Abiodun, who had served as the journal's managing editor since 2019, was appointed editor-in-chief for three years. Professor Abiodun took over from Professor Franklin Ani. This write-up introduces the new editor-in-chief and highlights the core duties of the role.
