USING THE TECHNIQUES OF CROWDSOURCING IN TOURISM: PROBLEMS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Abstract
The paper discusses the advantages and drawbacks of using crowdsourcing techniques in tourism. Crowdsourcing (using mass activities for creating products and implement in business-projects) has been gaining popularity lately. The opportunities that this technique provides for development of tourism business and activities are huge. Its high efficiency is achieved through using information technologies and social networks. In the conclusion the author outlines the main ways of using crowdsourcing in tourism: branding of territories, improving tourist destinations, creating tourism products, helping tourists in planning trips.
