Selected spatial aspects of cultural events

Abstract

Cultural events, ranging from large-scale international festivals to smallscale local initiatives, are in the field of interest of many researchers. Economists, sociologists, geographers and tourism researchers have devoted work to understand different aspects of this phenomenon. Cultural events are complex, multidisciplinary occurrences, strongly linked with the environment. This article tries to show selected links between cultural events and space.
