Gheorghe Neaga's instrumental chamber music constitutes a rich repertoire with representative works for the field of native academic music. More than that, from the perspective of composition art, the author tended to excellence for each element of musical expressiveness. As evidence of this can be considered Gheorghe Neaga's two Trios. Written in two separated periods (1976 and 2001 respectively), both represent a polarity in terms of perception and treatment of the musical content's composition and drama. Therefore, the article aims to present some principles and techniques used by Gheorghe Neaga in those two opuses as regards the evolution of his componistic mastery.
