Erros e lapsos de tradução: um tema para o ensino.
Abstract
The article investigates different types and motivations of error in translation, always considering its relevance for translation teaching. Starting from a text by Anthony Pym, it discusses this author’s notions of mistake (binary) and error (non-binary). The notion of non-binarity is theoretically expanded so as to go beyond the dichotomy correct/incorrect. On the basis of the Freudian study on psychopathologies of everyday life, the article presents the frequent occurrence of reading and writing lapses in translation, emphasizing through them the role of the unconscious in our choices.
