The relevance of the topic of the scientific article lies in the fact that at the present stage of economic development, intellectual property is the basis of competitive advantages, is a tool for managing the value of the company, is considered as a center of income. The author defined the specifics of intellectual property as an object of commercialization, and also identified the key factors on which the process of commercialization of intellectual property depends in order to analyze the key areas of strategic planning for the commercialization of the results of intellectual activity in the field of research and development.
