The aim of the research is to improve the biogas quality with Chlorella sp. 200 L cultivated in a helical tubular photobioreactor under the two LED light types (red and blue colors) throughout 24 hours. A water flow rate of 20 L/min and the biogas rate of 0.1 L/min, provided 12 hours and alternated 12 hours with filling air of 6 L/min, were determined as the experimental conditions. The experimental results during a 7 day experimental procedure showed that the red LED light used for Chlorella sp. cultivation is appropriate for biogas quality improvement leading to the highest specific growth rate of 1.841 day-1. Moreover, the results revealed the efficiency of increased methane content at 19.02 % and the efficiency of removed carbon dioxide at 58.27%.
