Three-dimensional Ultrasonography in gynecology and obstetrics

Abstract

Incorporation of the information and digital era in medicaldiagnostics through ultrasound has allowed the development ofthree-dimensional technology. This type of diagnostic test allowsstudy of any point within a determined volume that is desired to beassessed as well as visualization of a three-dimensional surface.Different indications of its applicability in Obstetrics (weight calculations,diagnostics of dismorphologies) and Gynecology (Müllerian malformations, anexial and endometrial pathology) are analyzed.
