Paryaymuktavali is an ancient Nighantu, composed by Haricharansen, a resident of Utkal (Odisha). In this lexicon, only the synonyms of substances are compiled, not the properties. It is composed on the basis of Amarkosh and Paryayaratnamala. There are 23 Vargas in it, which have been divided on the basis of size, smell, and Rasa (taste). In this, eight fascinating meters have been used along with Anushtupa. Therefore, it is an alluring work from poetic point of view as well. The composition of the scripture cannot be clearly stated; however, based on some external evidence, the approximate period of it has been considered to be the last part of the 16th century.
