Ukrainian Fable in the First Half of the XIX century: the Influence of German Traditions of Genre

Abstract

The question about the European sources of the Ukrainian fable in the first half of the XIX century remains not enough researched. The given article investigates the problem of the Ukrainian and German theoretical and art connections in the field of fable genre. The conducted analysis allows to set the genetic connection of fable heritage of Ukrainian literature with German classic traditions of genre.
