Abstract

In brief terms, the article deals with the relationship between the United States and Syria starting from the end of the First World War up to the seventies, period in which the world was divided between the United States and the Soviet Union. At the beginning, the country befriended the Americans. Later, the relationship would turn into another, because Syria has decided to situate itself in the Soviet sphere.
