Franchising represents a worldwide spread and accepted business method. The franchise business method gives the closest guarantee for success on today’s market. It can be said, with a great certainty, that franchising is becoming a main business source and development instrument of every market oriented economy. The purpose of this paper is to put an emphasis on franchising as a model of certain business development, being observed through its legal form – a franchise contract. The franchise contracts define every aspect of the franchiser-franchisee relationship. The franchise contract belongs to non-nominated contracts sui generis, i.e. the contracts with no special designation. Regarding to this, it represents a very complex contract where a franchiser is more dominant part, which practically imposes and regulates contract and closure conditions.
