El Estudio De La Ciudad En La Psicología Ambiental
Abstract
The aim of the present paper is to make an historical review of the way in which psychology, through one of its most new areas, environmental psychology, has studied the city. Two different moments have appeared in this approach: The first, behavioral studies of the city and second, the phenomenological tendencies that have made emphasis in cognition. These positions, as well as some intermedíate theories, were analyzed through its methodological and theorical foundations, and the thesis about the city as an abstraction or cognitive state, was settle down.
