The attitudes of mathematics teachers towards mathematical modeling in teaching Field study in the public schools in Lattakia City

The study aimed to identify the attitudes of the mathematics teachers in the ninth grade towards the new curriculum for the academic year 2017/2018 in the light of the variables: (training, experience, qualification and gender) in the official schools in Lattakia city. The descriptive analytical method was used. Ahmed Trends towards Mathematics, and its use to measure the attitudes of mathematics teachers ninth grade towards the new curriculum. A total of 39 teachers and teachers of mathematics were added in the ninth grade for the new curriculum, the latest developments in the schools of Lattakia. The study found that teachers' attitudes were generally positive towards the modern mathematics curriculum and the overall average was 3.17 and The study found that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the teachers of mathematics on the trend scale according to the sex variables and the training courses at the level of significance (0.05). It is in favor of males who underwent training courses. The study also found that there were statistically significant differences between the averages Mathematics on the scale of trends according to the variables of experience and scientific qualification. In light of these results, the research recommended that the subject of training in the new mathematics curricula of mathematics teachers should be taken care of and that all possible development of this training should be provided because it has a positive impact on teachers' attitudes toward curricula. The negative trends were by teachers who were not subject to training courses, teacher graduates in teacher preparation institute, and female teachers.
