During this short study the author proposed to present to the interested reader the speech of the great politician and patriot from Transylvania Iuliu Maniu held on December 22, 1919 in the first parliament of Romania. The moment is of major historical importance and allowed the Transylvanian Unionist leader to present his position on topics such as: World War I, peace treaties, the relationship between Romanians beyond and on this side of the Carpathians, the feelings that the Transylvanian Romanians had and have for their brothers in the Old Kingdom. The discourse remained in history for the passion, the devotion, the clarity of the ideas expressed and for the vision voiced by one of the most representative politicians of the interwar period.
