MENTAL HEALTH INTERFACE IN PRIMARY CARE
Abstract
This study objectified to verify actions on mental health developed in primary care and to identify how this integration is effected in a town of the Metropolitan Area of Florianopolis/ Brazil. We carried out interviews with 20 professionals who integrated 4 teams of the Family Health Program. The data had been recorded, transcribed and from their analysis, two (2) major axes were defined with their respective categories. The first - Psychic Assistance to Mental Disorders Bearers in Primary Care - evidences that mental health assistance privileges the trend for prescribing drugs and specialized assistance. The second axis – Caring Action – points out a slow change in relation to the health care model focused on the interdisciplinary practice of admittance and bond building. In this study, we identified the interrelations that this action demands, evidencing that there is not a clear limit which sets immediate changes, however there are different mechanisms which have been extended day by day.
