THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL BASES OF ANALYZING THE PROBLEM OF POLITICAL PARTICIPATION

Abstract

The paper addresses analysis of the contemporary definitions of the concept of «political participation», the main stages of its formation as the independent category of political analysis are described, the main theoretical approaches to allocation of its forms and levels are characterized. The model of research of the political participation, including the assessment of its substantial indicators (the level of institutionalization, activity and conventionality) and determining their political, social, individual and psychological factors is reasoned.
