Bioethics and the role of university professors in the formation of nurses

This reflexive article examines the role of university professors in the formation of nurses from the bioethical perspective, stemming from the new educational needs related with the perfection of specific pedagogical formation plans and the new role of university professors, in the different stages of their professional actions. Primary sources were used in original information from the authors and secondary sources in information about the primary documents referring to processes of formation of nursing professionals. The objective was to describe the relationship that exists between bioethics and education, the curriculum, and the study plans, with respect to the education law and the development of mission areas, as well as enunciating the role of professors and the strategies for the teaching and learning demanded by the nurse’s study plan according to the needs of the context.
