Abstract

This work aims to map the Music technical courses in Brazil, based on the National Information System for Professional and Technological Education (SISTEC) and related publications. The identified works were classified into the following categories: (1) Technical Courses in Musical Instruments/Singing, (2) Technical Courses in Music, (3) Integrated Technical Courses in Musical Instrument, (4) Technical Courses in Conducting and (5) Others. We identified 213 Music technical courses in 133 Teaching Units in 94 municipalities, in all regions of the country. We point out that the quantity of publications collected, in our bibliographic research, does not do justice to the number of existing courses, which demonstrates a great disparity between this field of professional training in Music and its scientific reflection.
