Sports Manager Profile of Brazilian Archery Federations

The aim of the study was to identify the profile of managers of archery federations in Brazil. It is a field research, exploratory and descriptive due conducted online with the presidents of the archery federations of Brazil. To obtain the data, a questionnaire adapted from Costa (2010) was used. Data collection took place between February and June 2018. In a universe of 18 federations, one was obtained (N = 17). Data were collected from February 2018 to June 2018, tabulated in Microsoft Office Excel 2016 and analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 20 program, using descriptive statistics regarding the frequency and mean distribution of answers to closed questions. The data reveal that 88.2% of respondents are male, being 64.7% married, with an average age of 42 years. Regarding the complete education of individuals, it was found that 94.1% have a college degree. In addition, it was noted that 70.6% of the presidents were elected by the club officers affiliated with the federation. In addition, 70.6% of them had no previous experience as a manager. It can be concluded that most managers are male, married and have an average age of 42 years, with higher education with prevalence of postgraduate studies at specialization and master level. In addition, most presidents came to office by election.
