Geológia a tektonika levicko-santovskej elevácie (juhozápadný okraj štiavnického stratovulkánu)
Abstract
The Permian and Triassic sediments of the Hronicum tectonic unit crop out from below the Miocene volcanic rocks and volcanoclastic sediments in the area of the Levice-Santovka elevation. Two different facies sequences were recognized in the Hronicum structure. The Biely Váh sequence represents the basinal environment to the contrary of the Čierny Váh sequence that represents the carbonate platform facies. Geophysical, structural, borehole and lithostratigraphic data indicate tectonic displacement of the carbonate platform sequence over the basinal sequence. They actual contact is arranged along the normal fault.
