Las relaciones de poder en las comunidades indígenas de cotopaxi a través del mito de la laguna del quilotoa
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to understand the power relations inside the indigenous communities that settle around the Quilotoa Lagoon, in the Ecuador’s province, Cotopaxi, through the “Myth of Quilotoa Lagoon Origins”, for this, direct participation with communities has been established, in order to collect the existing oral memory of the story. In this sense, it’s evident the reproduction of cultural patterns established with the appearance of estates, as well as the power of the story as an against-hegemonic ideology.
